Results In: What You Said About Captioned Telephone Services

Between February 21, 2013 and March 8, 2013, the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Telecommunications Access (RERC-TA) at Gallaudet University conducted a brief survey. 

It was used to learn about the experiences of adults who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have hearing loss and their use of Captioned Telephone Service. The goal of the RERC-TA was to use the responses provided to this survey to help inform the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about the use of captioned telephones.

To all who responded to the captioned telephone survey: Thank you! We had an unbelievable response of 3,000 completed surveys in just two short weeks. The analysis of the survey has been filed with the FCC. This report makes it clear just how important captioned telephones are to people with hearing loss connected.
