Financial Reporting Accountant-Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as annual budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data. Prepare annual report of actual revenues, transfers and expenses. Periodically analyze accounting record, financial statements and report financial status to HLAA's leadership. Recommend cost control measures, monitor progress and changes. Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, administration of gifts/grants. Ensure expenditures are consistently aligned to with grant and program budgets, collate financial reporting materials for government, corporate and foundation grants. Work with other departments or divisions to evaluate accounting needs; coordinate audit activity; ensure compliance with IRS and other federal and state financial regulations. Other related duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting or Finance. 12 months experience as Accountant or in Accountant related position working for a non-profit handling multiple programs and revenue streams, working knowledge of external audits. Budget Analyst- Monitor organizational spending to ensure that it is within budget, inform managers of the status and availability of funds, prepare regular and special budget reports, examine budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with procedures and regulations, summarize budgets and propose recommendations for the approval or disapproval of funds requests. Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs, consult with managers to ensure budget adjustments are made in accordance with program changes, compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program. Perform cost-benefit analyses to compare operating programs. Other related duties as assigned.
